Mission Statement

The First Baptist Christian Education Development Center (CEDC) was created to provide a Christian environment in which a child can grow and develop. Our purpose is to provide care and opportunities for development physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. This ministry seeks to touch the lives of children and their families in a positive, constructive way through the power of the Holy Spirit. The CEDC operates in full alignment with the First Baptist Church family and serves as one of the vehicles the church uses to reach its vision.

The goal of the Christian Education Development Center is to provide young children with the foundations for making Christ the center of their lives. Our staff consists of professing Christians who have a special calling to reach out to young children and share their faith. It is our hope to build a strong relationship with each parent in order to better meet the needs of the children.

Curriculum

A Beka Curriculum is a faith-based learning program used in our K2-K4 year old classes. We are focusing on developmental milestones for our baby class though 2 yr old classes. Group learning time consists of Bible stories, pledges, songs, alphabet, numbers, etc.

Classes and Staffing

The Childcare Center provides services to the age groups based on the following staff per child ratios:

Awake

Babies (Birth - 1 Year old) - 1 staff: 5 children
1-2 years old — 1 staff: 6 children
2-3 years-old — 1 staff: 8 children
3-4 years-old — 1 staff: 12 children
4-5 years-old — 1 staff: 17 children
5-6 years-old — 1 staff: 20 children
6-12 years-old — 1 staff: 23 children

Nap Time

Babies (Birth - 1 Year old) - 1 staff: 5 children
1-2 years old — 1 staff: 6 children
2-3 years-old — 1 staff: 16 children
3-4 years-old — 1 staff: 24 children
4-5 years-old — 1 staff: 34 children
5-6 years-old — 1 staff: 40 children
6-12 years-old — 1 staff: 46 children

REGISTRATION FEE

$100.00 (non refundable, due first day of enrollment)

TUITION RATES

Babies (8 months to 1 year) $200/week
Toddlers $170/week
K2 not potty trained $170/week. potty trained $155/week
K3 $160/week
K4 $160/week
Afterschool $92/week

*School year is from August to July.

*Tuition reserves your child’s spot regardless of attendance, and is invoiced weekly.
