A Message from Dr. Charlie Wallace

Happy Sunday!

It’s so good to see you at worship today. Today we continue through our sermon series on following Jesus.

What does it mean to follow Jesus? This is a
phrase that is used quite often and for good reason; Jesus used it. When he would call disciples to believe in him, he would say, “Follow me.” This was a common phrase that a rabbi would use to tap a new disciple. The new disciple would then follow that rabbi around everywhere he went. He would learn from him in every way possible about God, life, and all things.

Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God. But we are still called to make disciples. So what does that look like? We can’t physically follow Jesus around. But we can learn from him and imitate Him as we get to know him better through the Word of God. As a Christian, that is your goal: to follow Jesus in every way possible.

Let’s let Jesus work on our hearts today as we worship him in spirit and in truth.
