A Message from Dr. Charlie Wallace

A Message from Dr. Charlie Wallace

Good morning!

I’m so glad you are here to worship with us today. Last week was a fantastic experience as we celebrated Easter Sunday. I have no doubt today will be just as meaningful.

Not only are we continuing in our sermon series of Jesus’ early days of ministry, today we are also observing the Lord’s Supper.

Along with baptism, the Lord’s Supper is one of two ordinances Jesus gave the church to observe. The Lord’s Supper is a time where baptized believers partake in the symbolic ritual of eating the bread and drinking from the cup. If you or a child of yours has not been baptized, the Lord’s Supper is not for you or them. It is given for the purpose of baptized believers to think about what Christ did for them on the cross and to think of any sins in their life from which they need to repent. The Bible says that anyone who takes the Lord’s Supper in an unworthy manner drinks judgment upon themselves. Therefore, this is a very important time. It is not for children (unless they’ve experienced believer’s baptism).

Let’s prepare our hearts for worship now... In Christ,
Pastor Charlie
