Good Morning!
Today is Palm Sunday, which commemorates the day when Jesus entered Jerusalem for the final week of his earthly life. As He entered the city gates on a donkey, loving disciples cheered for Him and waved palm branches.
Within a few days, however, most of His disciples and followers would abandon Him as He was unjustly arrested, tried for blasphemy, and ultimately killed on a cross.
Today, we are looking at one of the scenes from that week—when Peter, one of Jesus’s closest disciples, denied his faith. We know that Jesus ultimately restored Peter from his sin of denial. This serves as a powerful reminder: when fear gets the best of us and we make poor decisions that negatively affect us and cause us to deny our faith, God is not finished with us.
