Good morning, Church!
Today we finish our 4-week sermon series on the book
of Ruth as we’ve been exploring the topic of redemption.
The story reaches it climax today as Boaz finally redeems
Ruth and does so in an honorable way. Because of how Boaz and Ruth handled this situation, God blesses them both and through their marriage and lineage, Jesus is born many years later.
We never know how our actions today will affect our lives (and other’s lives!) in the years ahead. Every decision you make has spiritual consequences. Thankfully, our decisions are also flooded with God’s grace so that when we fumble, God often recovers the ball. Let’s not forget this fabulous facet of God’s character in that he is graceful.
I’m so glad you made it a priority to attend worship today. I know God will bless you for it.
In Christ,
Pastor Charlie
