Happy Sunday, Church Family!
As we head into Memorial Day weekend, let’s take a moment to remember and give thanks for those who gave their lives in service to our country. We are deeply grateful for their sacrifice and the freedom we enjoy because of them.
This week’s Scripture reading is Luke 2:22–35, a beautiful and powerful moment in the life of Jesus. Mary and Joseph bring their newborn son to the temple, where they meet a man named Simeon. Simeon had been waiting his entire life to see the fulfillment of God’s promise—and when he saw Jesus, he knew that promise had come true. It’s a powerful reminder that God always keeps His word. This ties perfectly into our message this Sunday as we talk about what it means to be called to God’s standard.
Also, don’t forget—Vacation Bible School is coming up June 2–5! If you haven’t already, please register your children online as soon as possible so we can make sure everything is ready for them. It’s going to be a fun, faith-filled week, and we can’t wait to see how God moves in the lives of our kids.
In Christ,
Pastor Charlie
