Happy Sunday!
Today we start our final sermon series of the year as we will be looking at the life of John, the son of Zebedee. John was a man who was known as a zealot. He was a fisherman who had very specific political opinions.
At times he wanted to destroy his political enemies. However, this boisterous and passionate young man grew into the disciple of love. Over time Jesus changed the very nature of this man into something completely different than what he had started out as. That’s what he seeks to do with all of us. As we enter into a relationship with Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we undergo lifelong transformation. He takes the old self and molds it into a new person. Our selfish desires eventually change to godly ones.
Our motivations start to line up with His.
