Good morning, church!
It’s so good to you have join us for worship this Sunday. As we continue walking through Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, we come across a section today that deals with pride. I’m not talking about national pride. I’m not referring to team pride. We’ll be seeing how the Corinthians had sinful pride in themselves. They took all the gifts God had given them and elevated themselves for their own glory and acclaim.
The more we walk with Christ, the more we should be growing in humility. Humility is one of those attributes that can be difficult to reach for because the moment we think we’ve become humble, we are actually arrogant in our humility. Humility is ultimately achieved when we quit thinking about ourselves and our gifts and, instead, focus on using our gifts for the glory of God and the good of others. How are you cultivating humility in your life today?
Easter is right around the corner! Don’t forget that in two weeks, March 29, we will have ONE worship service at 11:00. There will be no 8:30 service. This will be a special Palm Sunday musical performed and led in worship by our choir. Adjust your calendars for this event and perhaps invite a friend.
Easter is three weeks away! He is Risen indeed.
