Good morning!
It’s great to have you here on this second Sunday of Advent. This morning we continue our series “Transformation” with a message from 1 John 4:7–19 entitled “Transformed by God.” The Apostle John (once known as a “Son of Thunder” who wanted to call down fire on his enemies) now writes as an old man who has spent a lifetime being changed by one simple and sobering truth: God is love.
As we sing these Christmas hymns, light the Advent candle of Love, and open God’s Word together, may the Holy Spirit pour the love of God into every heart that is here today. Whether you have walked with Jesus for decades or you are here for the very first time, know that you are loved with an everlasting love. There is a place for you here today and in His kingdom.
Welcome home this Christmas season. Come, let us adore Him… and let us love one another, for love comes from God.
