Good morning and thank you for worshipping with us. Today we’re going to be looking at the trial of Jesus as written in Luke’s gospel.
Imagine what it would be like to be the
most innocent man on the face of the earth and at the same time be so hated and despised that people would go to great lengths and even lie to have you killed. That’s what happened to our Savior. In fact even today, just the name of Jesus is despised and hated by many.
During His trial, Jesus was a “political pawn” between men as they tried to figure out what to do with Him. When we go through our personal trials we are often confronted in the same way.
So as we look at the Scriptures together, I pray for our hearts to be open to what the Lord needs us to see and learn.
