Good morning!
It’s great to see you here in worship this Sunday. Today we are going to be continuing our sermon series on the words of Jesus: famous phrases he said during his ministry. Today we’ll be looking at the section where he said he was the bread of life.
Jesus often spoke in metaphor. Apparently, his disciples and onlookers were literal people because they often missed the application of the metaphor. Or, perhaps they just didn’t want to accept it? That’s the thing about the truth of God’s Word: some parts can be hard to understand. However, I think the real issue is not understanding; it is acceptance.
If you are a Christian and seek to follow Jesus, accepting the truth Jesus gives you is the first step in living the abundant life on this earth that he promises.
