A Message from Dr. Charlie Wallace
Good morning!
As you get settled into your seats this Sunday, let me remind you that worshiping Jesus Christ is not just another form of entertainment. We don't worship Jesus the same way we sit down to watch a football game or a good show or movie. We don't sip our coffees and "consume" worship and go about our day as if worship is just a pick me up.
No, worship is much more reverent than consumerism. We should experience all of the human emotions in worship. We should be comforted and encouraged.
We should be convicted of our sin and exposed. We should feel awe and reverence for God. We should feel love and adoration for Jesus. Yes, worship is meant to take us through all of our emotions as we seek to worship Christ with heart, soul, mind and strength.
It's nice to greet family and friends this morning. It's great to joke around and hug others. But, when the music starts and the preaching continues, all eyes, hearts and minds should be on Jesus.
In Christ,
Pastor Charlie
