Happy Sunday! July has flown by, hasn't it? August is right around the corner so take the next few weeks to enjoy the final few weeks of summer before children go back to school. Before you know it we'll be watching football games and taking final trips to the beach.
We are continuing our sermon series on true worship today as we look at having unity in discernment in our worship. One of the areas we must watch as we meet together is having the discernment to know what kind of actions bring unity and disunity into worship. One of the problems the Corinthians had in this setting was not loving others. They elevated their own desires and preferences above others. That is a recipe for disaster in the church. Above all things, we are called to love others above ourselves, even as Jesus put our needs above his needs. This extends even into our times of worship.
