Good morning! I'm glad you've chosen to take a break from the heat this week and come to our nicely cooled sanctuary. It's summers like this where I am so thankful to live in a country where I can freely worship my Lord and do so in comfort. As you're well aware, many nations, even developed ones, do not have or allow cooling units in homes or businesses! I consider the fact that we have this technology a major blessing from God. When was the last time you thanked God for all the things you have in your life that you take for granted?
Today we are starting a sermon series that will take us into September. In chapters 11-14 of 1 Corinthians, Paul addresses all of the problems this church had when it came to worship. Before we jump into some of the specific issues we'll see in the coming weeks, today we will start with the subject of order. Even in our freedom in Christ, worship services should be orderly. We'll look at why and how today. I assure you, if you're not familiar with today's passage, you'll learn something this morning!
